Gelderland: wealth in the 19th and 20th century
Wealthy families made an important contribution to Dutch cultural heritage.
You will visit Rosendaeal Castle, with its typically 19th century points of attraction like “de bedriegertjes”, a deceptive type of waterworks, and a shell gallery with waterfalls, caves and fountains.
After lunch at the Orangery you will visit the famous Kröller-Müller collection at the National Park “de Hoge Veluwe”: Van Gogh, Breitner, Toorop, Mondriaan, Picasso, etc. Then a walk through the sculpture park or a cycle tour to the unique hunting lodge of Sint Hubertus, built by Berlage. In the evening dinner at a country restaurant
extra: a walk across Veluwe guided by a forester. Prices depending on your wishes and the number of participants.
