The Eye Filmmuseum  is the new national filminstitute to promote film culture in the Netherlands. EYE intends to be a gateway to the world of the moving image, a modern museum where you can see and do all kinds of things related to film. EYE’s collection spans the entirety of film history: from silent films dating back to the start of cinema (at the end of the 19th century) to the newest digital productions. Pictures, photo’s, posters, soundtracks, machines and paper archives of film directors. The Vienna office of Delugan Meissl Associated Architects has translated this intention into a remarkable design.

Main collection: The Panorama is a new permanent collection display with film devices that mark significant moments in the history of the cinema.
