Dayprogram Van Gogh & Rijksmuseum
Internationally Amsterdam holds an important position in the field of painting. It hosts the largest collections of the world’s most known painters Rembrandt van Rijn and Vincent van Gogh.
At first we will visit the Van Gogh Museum, a unique experience. The museum provides the opportunity to keep track of the artist’s developments, or compare his paintings to works by other artists from the 19th century in the collection. You can opt for a lecture on Vincent van Gogh’s life and work, a guided tour the permanent collection or of any current exhibition.
After lunch in the museum quarter there will be a visit to the Rijksmuseum. During renovation the Rijksmuseum is showing Dutch masterworks of the 17th century in the redesigned Philips wing. More than 400 highlights from the Golden age will be shown: the famous dolls’ houses, the finest Delftware, silver, icons of Dutch history and of course the paintings by Frans Hals, Jan Steen, Vermeer and Rembrandt.
Prices depending on your wishes and the number of participants.
